Is the work really unique?

• We guarantee that all work is one-of-a-kind. We pride ourselves that we do not repeat a design. With our Pate' DeVerre and cast sculpture editions, each casting will differ signifigantly in color. Each piece is inspected and certified by the artist, and a Certificate of Authenticity is available on all major work, with a picture and description of the work. Each certificate is reviewed and signed by the artist. Etchings and Collagraphs are crafted in limited editions, with a unique edition number on each print. All items are subject to prior sale. We remove all sold pieces as soon as we can, but there is sometimes an overlap. In such an event, we will offer alternatives or a full rerfund.

How accurate are the pictures ?

• Every monitor is calibrated differently, so colors may vary. Artifacts in all media can become quite three-dimensional and complex. Since photos are only two-dimensional, they can't capture the beauty or the magic of a piece. Sculpture is enjoyed for its' mass, a three dimensional quality. We frequently layer our glass, sometimes firing a piece 4 or 5 times. We suggest that you browse the categories that interest you. If a piece "talks to you," order it. If, upon receipt, it doesn't exceed the beauty pictured, simply return it (see next FAQ.) Please note that photos are not to scale. Check the detail for each piece to get the actual dimensions.

How does the guarantee work?

• We want you to be happy with your purchase. Save your original packing. To make a return, please call for a Return Authorization Number (RA), carefully repack the work in it's original condition, and return it with a copy of your invoice or PayPal receipt with your RA number marked on the outside of the package. Your purchase price will be refunded upon inspection assuring safe arrival. Returns must be made within 7 days. You are responsible for return shipping in original condition, ship and insure accordingly. Our address is on the "Contact" page.

How is the work priced?

• Included in our price considerations are many factors. Our labor is only one consideration. Dichroic glass costs $35-50 for a 4” x 4” square. Pieces without dichro are less dear. Each piece will be in the kiln for hours or sometimes days, so the cost of firing is a component of our price, and some pieces are fired more than once. The venue in which the piece is being shown is frankly a consideration also. Craft shows are costly and time-consuming, and those costs must be covered. Because your purchase on the internet is unattended, we are able to offer a discount on sales from this site. Pieces selected by stores, galleries and museum shops are removed from the site. Such venues may contact us for a wholesale application, terms, and price lists.

What is a Certificate of Authenticity?

• Upon purchase of most hand-crafted pieces, that item is removed from the website. A certificate is issued with the name of the buyer and complete details of the piece, certifying to it's authenticity. Each certificate is signed by the artist(s). This establishes provenance and is a lovely value added feature if you are giving a gift.

Are credit cards honored ?

• This site uses the PayPal shopping cart on secure pages. You do not have to open an account with PayPal to use their trusted service, They honor all major credit cards. You can order by phone, especially if you want to commission a work, or want to buy an omega or chain at reasonable prices. We honor Visa, Discover, American Express and Mastercard on such purchases.

Is art work fragile?

• We take extra care to see that our work is protected. Larger pieces like stone and wood carvings need to be crated securely. Glass WILL break if you drop it on a hard surface. We do take extra precautions with our glass work. We use only System 96 glass in our studio, and we carefully anneal each piece in the kiln to toughen the glass. Such protection is included in our prices (see shipping FAQ below.)
• Normal care will preserve your artisan selection through the generations.

What are the shipping costs?

• Prices are quoted without shipping, which is billed separately. Shipment is not made until that payment is tendered. Avoid shipping and insurance costs altogether if you can pick up your purchase in the Philadelphia area. With Out-of-US purchases, you assume payment of any duties that may apply. We ship using the least expensive cost consistent with safe passage and quick delivery times to your specific destination. To protect your investment, we purchase insurance to cover all purchases.
• Large and/or heavy pieces may require crating, which is a significant factor. Shipments in Pennsylvania include a 6% tax added to the cost of the item.

All currency is US Dollars. Fee includes careful packing, shipping and insurance. Because foreign customs duty and procedures vary widely, you are responsible for any such additional charges.
